All Fired Up!

Last Sunday, my kids and I took leftover bricks and cinderblocks that we've salvaged from various locations and built ourselves an outdoor fireplace! With cinder blocks on the bottom and bricks on top, it looked pretty sharp. We put some leaves in and got them going, then some sticks. You shoulda seen the smoke pouring out the sides of the cinder blocks. We ended up getting some dirt and adding water to it to make mud, which we slapped into the cracks to make the chimney and fireplace hold the smoke better. The kids didn't want to go inside, even after it got real dark outside. They're hooked. Thanks, Jonathan S. for your inspiration....
